Zucchini and prawn mousse recipe with Thermomix

Ingredients to make zucchini and prawn mousse with Thermomix:

  • 500 grams of courgettes
  • 200 grams of Prawns
  • 200 grams of milk
  • 200 grams of cream or milk cream
  • 1 tablespoon of Butter
  • 50 grams of Oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 leeks without leaves
  • 2 tablets of Broth
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make zucchini and prawn mousse with Thermomix:

In order to prepare the zucchini and prawn mousse with Thermomix, the first thing you should do is peel the ranges and reserve them. Then, place the heads of the ranges and the milk in the glass of the machine, program it for five minutes at 100ºC and speed 4. Strain and reserve the liquid obtained.

Wash the glass of the Thermomix and the lid. Then, place the oil, the butter, the leeks (only the white part), the peeled garlic cloves, the peeled prawns and the chopped courgettes in the glass. Program the machine for 10 minutes, at 100ºC and speed 4 to continue with the preparation of the courgette and shrimp mousse with Thermomix.

After a few minutes, lower the speed to 2, and once the programmed time is over, stop the Thermomix and add half of the reserved liquid, the cream or milk cream, the eggs, the broth tablets or consommé, and salt to taste. Program the machine again for another 10 minutes, at 100ºC and speed 1.

Trick: If you prefer, you can substitute cream cheese for cream.

After the first five minutes, lower the temperature to 90ºC and increase the speed to 4. And, once the total time has elapsed, leave the machine turning for a few more minutes so that the Thermomix zucchini and prawn mousse acquires the right consistency. Pour the mixture obtained into a mold and let it cool completely to serve it accompanied by toast or croutons.
