Yellow Rice Recipe

Ingredients to make Yellow Rice:

  1. 2 cups parboiled or parboiled rice
  2. 2 onions
  3. 2 cloves of garlic
  4. 2 broth tablets dissolved in 500 cc of water
  5. Grated cheese
  6. 1 pinch of salt
  7. 1 jet of oil
  8. 1 pinch of Saffron or Coloring

How to make Yellow Rice:

  • We start by cooking white rice in a traditional way. To do this, place it in a saucepan with water and let it boil for about 10 minutes. Then drain and reserve.
  • On the other hand, chop the onions and garlic finely. Then we heat a frying pan with oil and brown these ingredients making a base sauce.
  • When they begin to brown, add the drained rice from the first step along with the dissolved concentrated stock cubes and keep cooking over low heat until the stock is completely reduced. This should take about 10 more minutes.
  • At this point, we correct the seasoning with a pinch of salt to taste and add a touch of saffron to color our yellow rice.
  • After this time, we remove from the heat and sprinkle with the grated cheese on top and that’s it. This yellow rice is perfect to accompany any type of main dish, whether it is a fried fish or a veal Milanese, for example… serve and enjoy!
