White beans with lettuce and carrot recipe

Ingredients to make white beans with lettuce and carrot:

  • 300 grams of white beans
  • 200 grams of Carrot
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 100 grams of onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 6 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make White Beans with Lettuce and Carrot:

1.Soak the beans in cold water for 10 hours.

2.When we are going to cook them and once the soaking time has passed, we drain them and place them in a saucepan, along with the onion, carrot and garlic cut into brunoises (cut into tiny pieces), the paprika and the olive oil.

3.Cover with cold water and bring to a boil.

4.When it breaks the boil, lower the heat, and let it cook slowly, making sure that the beans are always covered with water so that they do not release the skin for approximately 2 hours if we cook in a normal pot and 40 minutes if we cook in the fast pot.

5.Once the beans are tender, add the julienned lettuce leaves (cut into strips), season and let them continue cooking very slowly.

6.Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for about ten minutes before serving.
