Ingredients to make Whiskey Prawns:
- 20 prawns
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 grams of butter
- 1 lemon
- 60 milliliters of whiskey
- 1 handful of chopped parsley
- 1 splash of olive oil
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Whiskey Prawns:
- We clean the prawns by cutting a little hair and some legs. We salt the prawns. If they are frozen, we will let them thaw, we dry them well.
- We put a frying pan on the fire, add a little oil, when it is very hot, add the prawns and brown them for a couple of minutes on each side, remove them and reserve.
- Peel and chop the garlic. In the same frying pan where we have browned the prawns, add a little more oil, we will put the lowest heat, add the minced garlic, stir and be careful that the garlic does not burn and that the oil takes on flavor.
- Add the whiskey, let it reduce for a few minutes. If you like you can flambé the whiskey. Squeeze the lemon and add it.
- Add the butter in pieces, we will move the pan so that all the sauce is mixed
- Add the prawns to the pan, we will move the pan with back and forth movements so that they release all the flavor in the room and it binds well.
- We taste salt and rectify, also lemon in case we like it with more flavor, add a little pepper. Chop a good handful of parsley and sprinkle it on top, mix. Transfer the prawns to the whiskey on a platter, serve with the hot sauce on top.
