These wheat tortilla rolls are a rich and easy starter to prepare. They are filled with rice and vegetables: avocado, roasted red pepper and peas, but you can also choose vegetables to your liking. To wrap the vegetable rolls with flour tortillas I have used nori seaweed sheets to give them a different flavor touch and similar to vegan sushi.
Ingredients to make wheat tortilla rolls:
- 4 wheat tortillas
- 4 sheets of nori seaweed
- 1 cup of cooked rice (175 grams)
- 1 avocado
- 1 can of roasted peppers
- 4 tablespoons of peas
- 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons of sweet mustard
How to make wheat tortilla rolls:
- On top of a piece of transparent film, place the sheet of nori seaweed. With a kitchen brush paint the seaweed with water and place a wheat flour tortilla on top. She squeezes with her hands so that they stick together.
- Spread a little sweet mustard (or if you prefer mayonnaise or another sauce) on top of the tortilla. Then top with a layer of rice and strips of roasted red peppers, shredded avocado, and peas.
- Roll up the wheat tortilla stuffed with vegetables with the help of transparent film making a roll. Remove the film and cut the roll into slices as if it were sushi with a wheat tortilla.
- Put a little sesame seeds on top and serve the rolls with wheat pancakes filled to your liking.
