  • 1 clove garlic
  • For the dressing
  • 1 splash of soy sauce
  • 4 leaves of Ajoporro
  • 2 units of large smoked chops and chopped into squares
  • 6 slices of Bacon
  • 2 cups of Chinese Beans
  • 1 unit of chicken breast cut into squares
  • 1 slice of ham cut into squares
  • ½ cup of Oil
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar

How to make Venezuelan Chinese rice:

  1. We will start our Venezuelan Chinese rice recipe by cooking white rice. To do this, fry the well crushed garlic with three tablespoons of oil. Then add the rice and stir it vigorously until it starts to turn whitish. Now you must transfer it to a pot to cook it. You should add for every two cups of rice four of water and a pinch of salt.
  2. Put the pot to boil and, as soon as it reaches the boiling point, add the tablespoon of vinegar and stir it quickly but without exceeding it.
  3. When it starts to cook and dry, lower the heat and cover the pot. Let it cook over low heat for 30 minutes and without moving it. In this way, the result obtained should be open and loose rice. After the time, move it, cover it and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, when is cold, put it in the fridge
  4. For a better result, the ideal is to leave the white rice in the fridge overnight and prepare the Venezuelan Chinese rice the next day
  5. The next day, when you go to prepare it, take a very hot pan, or metal pan, and pour the oil. Add the brisket pieces and cook over medium-high heat until firm. It shouldn’t be toast, just hard. Once this is done, incorporate the pieces of smoked chop and move everything.
  6. Add a little bit of soy sauce and keep stirring. We advise you to use a wooden spoon or spatula to stir the ingredients as this utensil does not alter the flavor of the food.
  7. Now add the bacon cut into small strips, the finely chopped leek, and the ham and keep stirring. Pour a little more soy sauce, until the ingredients turn black. At this point it is important to note that there will not be a sauce, but a blackened sauce with a slight shine from the oil and soy sauce. Add a pinch of salt to taste. As optional ingredients you can add corn and shrimp to taste (if you do, add them now).
  8. Now you are going to have to divide that sauce into three different containers. Do the same with the rice and divide it into three containers. Once this is done, take one of the parts of the sauce and put it back into the pan, also add one of the parts of rice and mix everything well. You will have to move it until all the ingredients are fully integrated. Add soy sauce until it takes on the color.
  9. You must do the previous step with the other two parts of the sauce and rice, in different metal pans or pans. When you have them all, you should put them in a larger frying pan and mix the three parts of Chinese rice. Move everything, pour a tablespoon of vinegar and the necessary soy sauce so that it acquires the desired color.
  10. Add the cup of Chinese beans, a touch of soy sauce if necessary and keep stirring. When everything is well integrated, you can remove it from the heat and serve it. Venezuelan-style Chinese rice is an elaborate and rich dish that all diners will surely love. You can have it as a main dish or as a side to another, such as salmon with teriyaki sauce.
