Ingredients to make Veggie Rice Burgers:
- 1 cup of brown rice (200 grams)
- ½ cup of Lentils
- 1 unit of Egg
- 1 unit of onion
- 1 unit of Carrot
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 splash of soy sauce
- 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper
- ½ cup of breadcrumbs
How to make Veggie Rice Burgers:
- For these vegetarian rice burgers, the first thing you should do is get all the ingredients ready. These ingredients are for 8 medium burgers, you can freeze them and cook them whenever you want.
- Place the lentils in water for 4 hours in order for them to soften.
- Cook the rice with 3 cups of water, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the rice opens and is very soft.
- Separately, cook the lentils in water until they are very soft, for about an hour. If you want it to be faster you can cook them in the pressure cooker.
- To continue with these delicious vegetarian burgers we are going to sauté the onion together with the carrot cut into cubes, add salt, a splash of soy sauce and pepper to taste.
- Place the rice and lentils in the processor along with the onion. Carrot and egg. Process the entire mixture until it is a homogeneous paste.
- Shape the patties by making balls of the same size and flattening them. Use the bread crumb to shape them and prevent them from sticking.
- Cook the veggie rice patties on a griddle with olive oil until golden brown on both sides.
