Vegetarian Drunken Beans Recipe

If you think that vegetarian food is boring and that you don’t have many options, here I bring you something delicious and full of flavor, some vegetarian drunken beans , easy to make and cheap.

Ingredients to make Vegetarian Drunken Beans:

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of white wine
  • ½ white onion cut into feathers
  • ½ green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 medium garlic clove finely chopped
  • 4 small onions finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato cut into cubes
  • 2 cups of whole beans with their soup
  • Grated hard or soft cheese
  • 1 pinch of Paprika and Cuban chili powder
  • 1 pinch of Cilantro, oregano, rosemary and basil
  • 1 pinch of salt and black pepper to taste

How to make Vegetarian Drunken Beans:

1.Here you can see all the ingredients that we are going to use for our vegetarian drunken beans recipe. I recommend that you have all the ingredients ready just to use them to make it easier for you. On the other hand, keep in mind that the cobra chili is optional; you can also use another type of chili if you want. As for the spices, we are going to use them to taste, and if you want you can use them dry or fresh. Let’s go with the recipe!

2.The first thing you should do is heat the pot or saucepan you are going to use over medium heat. Then, add the oil, let it heat for a moment and add the onion, rosemary, coriander, oregano, basil and a pinch of salt. Let the onion caramelize a bit.

3.Now add the green chili, the chives and the garlic, mix a little and let it cook for 5 minutes to be able to continue with the preparation of the drunken beans.

4.Then add the tomato and let it soften little by little.

5.Once the tomato is soft, add the wine, cover the pot for 5 minutes and then uncover it so that the wine is reduced.

6.When the wine has been consumed, add the beans little by little to cook them and thus prepare this delicious vegetarian recipe.
