Vegan Vietnamese Rolls Recipe

These vegan Vietnamese rolls that I am on this occasion are a perfect starter, they have a mild flavor and combine the different flavors very well.

Apart from mango, which provides an exotic and fresh touch, we are going to use carrot and lettuce for the filling to prepare these vegetable rolls with rice paper, but you can add any vegetable you like.

The rice dough that comes in plates or wafers is a common ingredient in Asian cuisine that is used to make hot or cold Vietnamese rolls, and can be purchased in the corresponding stores where Asian products are sold.

Ingredients to make vegan Vietnamese rolls:

  • 8 sheets of rice dough
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 Handle
  • 1 Carrot
  • ½ teaspoon powdered coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce or soy sauce

How to make Vegan Vietnamese Rolls:

First of all, to prepare these vegan Vietnamese rolls, we soak the plates or wafers of rice dough in warm-hot water (about 30 or 30 minutes) until they soften. Meanwhile, cut the lettuce into pieces, the mango into small, thin slices, and cut the carrots into thin slices with a peeler.

Once the rice wafers for the vegetable rolls are soft, place the lettuce, carrot and mango slices in the center of each plate of dough in a line. Season with coriander powder, a little salt and pepper, and sprinkle a few sesame seeds.

Roll up the vegetable rolls with the rice paper and cut off the excess dough on the sides. Next, we cut each cold Vietnamese roll in half or into 3 parts and serve them with teriyaki sauce or soy sauce. And now we can enjoy these simple and practical vegan Vietnamese rolls!

Tip: You can use another sauce for vegetarian Vietnamese rolls if you prefer.
