Veal cream recipe

Ingredients to make creamed beef:

  • preparation time 15 min
  • cooking time 2 hours
  • 11/4 beef
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 shallot (scallions, shallots)
  • 2 carrots
  • 100 g cream (cream)
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • laurel
  • thyme
  • lemon
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make creamed beef:

  1. Put the meat in a pot and cover it with cold water.
  2. Bring to a boil, remove the fat with a skimmer and reduce the heat.
  3. Add whole and scraped carrots, onion, garlic, aromatic herbs, salt and pepper.
  4. Cover and let simmer for two hours.
  5. Two tablespoons of flour are mixed with hot butter and added to the pot.
  6. Let it boil for 5 min. The sauce should be smooth without being thick.
  7. When serving, beat the egg yolk in the cream and add a few drops of lemon to the pot away from the heat. It is served in a deep dish. 150g of mushrooms can be added during cooking.
