Turkey Ham and Broccoli Quiche Recipe

Quiches or savory tarts are a great option for a light meal or to prepare a rich and healthy dinner in advance. We can take them hot or cold (a heat stroke in the microwave and in less than a minute they are ready) and accompanied by a salad or a salmorejo we will have a complete and healthy meal.

The options are endless, it all depends on the ingredients we use. This time I leave you a broccoli and turkey ham quiche that I personally quite like. I hope it is also to your liking! It is a delicious way to eat vegetables.

Ingredients to make Turkey Ham and Broccoli Quiche:

  • 1 sheet of short crust pastry
  • 200 grams of cooked ham or turkey breast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 medium onion
  • 300 grams of Broccoli
  • 200 milliliters of cream to cook
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 100 grams of grated cheese

How to make Turkey Ham and Broccoli Quiche:

We begin to prepare our broccoli and turkey ham quiche by splitting the broccoli and  steaming or boiling it, depending on how we like it. We booked.

On the other hand, peel the onion and cut it into small pieces. Put a splash of olive oil in a frying pan and when it is hot, add the onion.

Cut the cooked turkey breast into small cubes. When the onion that we have on the fire begins to be transparent, we add the broccoli and the cubes of turkey. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and sauté for a few minutes.

Remove from heat and place in a large bowl. Add the two slightly beaten eggs as if we were going to prepare an omelet and the cream and mix well. If necessary, adjust the salt.

Unroll the sheet of short crust pastry (you can also make it homemade) and put it in a round mold covering the base well. Pour the broccoli and turkey pie mix and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Trick: Leave the paper that rolls the sheet of short crust pastry on the base when you put it in the mold and it will be very easy to unmold it.

Put the broccoli and cheese quiche in the oven preheated to 180ºC and bake until the edges are golden and crispy and the cheese has melted. It will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes, although it depends a lot on the oven.

Once baked, we can serve the broccoli and turkey ham quiche freshly made or store in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap once it has cooled completely. Enjoy!
