I love preparing salads at home. Whether as a side dish for other meals or as a single dish for dinner, a good salad always seems like a wonderful alternative, since it is quickly prepared and admits the ingredients that we have at home. I share my recipe to prepare it with feta cheese and pineapple, let no one say that eating salad is boring! In addition, it is a perfect cheap starter for Christmas, don’t you think?
I hope you will be encouraged to follow my turkey and pineapple salad recipe, try it and tell me what you think.
Ingredients to make Turkey and Pineapple Salad:
- 1 lettuce
- 200 grams of feta cheese
- 1 can of sweet corn
- 90 grams of pickled onions
- 6 slices of pineapple in its juice
- 200 grams of braised turkey breast
- 1 carrot
- 1 handful of croutons
- 1 handful of salad seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and pine nuts)
- 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 splash of vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Turkey Pineapple Salad:
Cut the lettuce and wash it with plenty of water, centrifuge it and place it in the salad bowl. If we don’t have a centrifuge, we leave it draining. Peel and grate the carrot and add it to the bowl. This food provides both color and flavor to the turkey and pineapple salad, as well as vitamins, so using it is more than recommended. Drain the corn and onions in vinegar and add them. I have used a feta cheese in oil with peppers and spices, but any feta cheese will do.
We divide the feta cheese and the turkey breast into cubes and put them in the salad bowl. If you have leftover cheese, don’t miss this Lentil and Feta Salad recipe. Chop the pineapple slices and also put them in the bowl. Turkey Pineapple Salad is almost ready for Christmas or any other event! We prepare a dressing with oil, vinegar, salt and two or three tablespoons of pineapple juice. Pour it into the salad bowl and mix well so that the salad is seasoned.
Finally, we put a handful of seeds for salad and another of croutons. Mix again and serve immediately the turkey and pineapple salad so that the bread does not get soft. Bon Appetite!
