Ingredients to make Turkey and Cheese Croquettes:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 120 grams of flour
  • 120 grams of Margarine
  • 1 unit of small onion
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 grams of turkey ham
  • 30 grams of sliced cheese
  • 50 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 2 units of beaten egg

How to make Turkey and Cheese Croquettes:

Peel and finely chop the onion into small squares. Melt the margarine in a saucepan, add the onion and fry for 5 minutes over low heat, without browning. Add the flour, stir, let it brown slightly and pour in the hot milk. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook until thickened. Add the chopped turkey ham and grated cheese, mixing so that a homogeneous mass is formed.

Cool in the refrigerator on a tray previously greased with olive oil so that once the dough solidifies it does not stick. When the dough has cooled (1 hour in the fridge more or less), we shape the croquettes and then pass them through flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs.

Fry the croquettes a few at a time in abundant hot oil, so that it does not cool down and thus the croquettes do not burst in the pan. Once fried, place the croquettes on a plate on a piece of kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil. Once drained, we put them in a bowl and serve these delicious hot turkey and cheese croquettes.
