Ingredients to make Tuna with teriyaki sauce and sesame:

  • 1½ kilograms of tuna loin
  • 25 grams of white sesame
  • 25 grams of black sesame
  • 150 milliliters of Soy willow
  • For the teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour

How to make Tuna with teriyaki sauce and sesame:

  1. The first thing to do to make tuna with sesame and soy is to prepare the teriyaki sauce. To do this, put all the ingredients except the cornstarch in a pot and heat over medium heat for 20 minutes. After this time, remove the pot from the heat, add the cornstarch, stir vigorously with a few rods to dissolve it and make the sauce thick. Return to low heat for 10 minutes and allow cooling.
  2. Tip: If you want, you can add fresh ginger.
  3. Once the teriyaki sauce is cold, cut the tuna into sirloins lengthwise and remove the skin. Place the fish pieces in a deep bowl; add the soy sauce and two tablespoons of teriyaki sauce to allow the tuna to marinate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Tip: If you leave it overnight, the tuna will have even more flavor.
  5. In a bowl, mix the two types of sesame. After the marinating time has elapsed, coat the tuna pieces in the sesame that you have just mixed and then seal them in a non-stick pan with a little hot oil. For those who are unfamiliar with this cooking method, when we talk about “sealing” we refer to cooking the meat or fish on the outside and leaving it raw on the inside. This step is very important, since it is one of the characteristics of teriyaki tuna with sesame and soy sauce.
  6. Once the fish is marked, serve it with the remaining teriyaki sauce on the side so that each diner can add the amount they want, or bathe the tuna directly with it. As you can see, preparing tuna with teriyaki sauce and sesame at home is very easy and fast, and the result is spectacular!
