Tuna Potato Salad Recipe

Today we are going to prepare a dish of cooked potatoes with canned tuna, a humble dish that will not affect your pocket but that will undoubtedly brighten up the table at home. This tuna and potato salad is very easy to make and although you only need a few ingredients, the taste is great.

You will see that this summer salad will be enjoyed by children and adults. Go ahead and cook a delicious potato salad with tuna, it won’t take you more than 10 minutes!

Ingredients to make Tuna Potato Salad:

  • ½ lettuce
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 piece of onion
  • 1 bunch of Parsley
  • 2 cans of Tuna
  • 2 tablespoons of Mayonnaise
  • 1 bunch of Parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper

How to make Tuna Potato Salad:

Wash and peel the potatoes and then cut them into medium cubes. Then cook in boiling water until slightly soft. Drain and reserve. It is important not to cut the potato too small because we do not want to make a mashed potato, we just want to make it so that it is tender and has a medium size, like the one you see in the main photo of this easy recipe.

On the other hand, while we let the potatoes cool to room temperature, we drain the tuna well and put it in the blender along with the mayonnaise, onion and parsley. Crush everything to form a tuna paste, check the seasoning and correct with salt and pepper to taste. Remember that you can make your own mayonnaise with the homemade mayonnaise or egg-free mayonnaise recipe, in case you cannot eat this food, typical in the preparation of mayonnaise.

Add the tuna mixture to the potatoes, stirring and making everything evenly distributed.  Reserve the potatoes with canned tuna and the salad in the fridge until serving time so that our salad is fresh.

When serving the potato salad with tuna, place a bed of lettuce on the plate and place the mixture on top. You can present this salad as a first course and if you want you can add extras such as corn or boiled egg.
