Ingredients to make Tuna marinated with lemon:

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 handful of fresh oregano
  • 1 handful of fresh thyme
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

How to make Lemon Marinated Tuna:

  1. We gather all the ingredients to prepare the tuna marinated with lemon.
  2. Prepare the dressing to marinate the tuna: in a bowl, mix the lemon juice with the oil and a little salt.
  3. Next, we wash and chop the fresh oregano and thyme. Add the aromatic herbs to the dressing.
  4. Marinate the tuna with the dressing, cover with transparent paper and put in the fridge for approximately 1 hour.
  5. Trick: If you don’t have that much time, you can remove the tuna earlier but it will take fewer flavors from the dressing.
  6. After that time, we remove the tuna from the dressing and place it on absorbent paper to remove excess liquid. We also remove the aromatic herbs so that they do not burn when passing the prickly pear through the pan.
  7. Brown the marinated tuna in the frying pan or griddle over high heat and cook it for 1-2 minutes on each side. The cooking time is to taste; the one we have recommended will leave the fish cooked to perfection.
  8. This lemon marinated tuna recipe can be accompanied with a garnish of vegetable rice or if you are on a diet to lose weight, you can eat it alone with some steamed vegetables.
