Ingredients to make Tuna Balls:

  • 1 can of tuna
  • 30 grams of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 100 grams of Breadcrumb
  • 500 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Tuna Balls:

  1. Before making the fried tuna balls, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
  2. To start preparing the balls for children, in a bowl mix the canned tuna very well with the grated cheese.
  3. It is time to add the ketchup sauce and mix everything very well.
  4. Then add the egg, a pinch of salt, and pepper, stir everything very well until you get a homogeneous tuna mixture.
  5. Tip: Be careful when adding salt, as tuna tends to be a bit salty.
  6. Grease your hands a little and make medium tuna balls. Then, pass them through the bread crumb until they are completely covered. When they are all ready, reserve them in the fridge for 10 minutes so that they are well compacted.
  7. In a pot with hot oil, fry the tuna balls for 8 minutes over medium heat. When they are ready, pass them through absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
  8. Finally, serve the fried tuna balls and enjoy them. This recipe is perfect for lunchtime accompanied with plantain to stones or baked potatoes. You will see that the children will love it!
