Tuna and Cheese Toast Recipe

On this occasion we will make a delicious, simple and very appetizing recipe, some tuna and cheese toasts that we can serve as an appetizer when we have guests or as a quick dinner. Let’s see the step by step of the recipe and its ingredients.

Ingredients to make Tuna and Cheese Toast:

  • 4 slices of sliced ​​bread
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 1 unit of red onion
  • 1 can of grated tuna
  • 100 milliliters of béchamel sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 2 units of red tomatoes
  • 4 teaspoons of Parmesan cheese

How to make Tuna and Cheese Tostadas:

The first step to make tuna toast is to prepare the ingredients. In a bowl or bowl add the red onion in fine squares and the grated tuna. Mix the ingredients well. Add two tablespoons of the béchamel sauce, salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste. Mix the ingredients well to continue with the preparation of the easy toasts.

Grease a refractory and add the slices of bread. You can buy sliced ​​bread however you like, whole meal, with seeds, etc., or prepare it yourself following this simple sliced ​​bread recipe. Add the grated tuna mixture and add a slice of red tomato on top as seen in the photograph.

Add a slice of mozzarella cheese on top and bathe the toast with the rest of the béchamel sauce. Sprinkle a teaspoon of Parmesan cheese on top. The ideal is that the tuna toasts are as seen in the photograph.

Tip: Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Finally, add oregano sprinkled on top, as it combines very well with the tomato. Bake the tuna toasts until the cheeses are golden brown. Serve the tuna and cheese toasts  immediately to consume them piping hot. As you can see, it is a perfect appetizer for meals with friends or family, which we can also prepare for dinner when we do not know what to cook. If it is to serve as a canapé, you can prepare some mushroom croquettes to accompany it and an avocado salad.
