Tricolor pasta salad with chicken recipe

Chicken and pasta salad recipes are a classic when the good weather arrives. We stop preparing hot dishes and it is time for light and fresh recipes without giving up eating healthy and tasty.

Pasta salads with chicken breast are complete and balanced dishes in which there is room for a multitude of ingredients, thus making the possibilities endless. This time I leave you one of my versions of this recipe using a very nice shape and color pasta called throttle. If you don’t have it, you can replace it with the spirals of a lifetime and make a salad of spirals with chicken, or the one you most want.

Ingredients to make Tricolor Pasta Salad with Chicken:

  • 75 grams of tricolor throttle pasta
  • 1 lettuce
  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams of braised chicken breast
  • 150 milliliters of Caesar sauce
  • 100 grams of Gouda cheese
  • 80 grams of Onions in vinegar
  • 1 green apple

How to make Tricolor Chicken Pasta Salad:

First of all, to prepare this tricolor pasta salad with chicken, heat water in a saucepan and when it starts to boil, add the pasta. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. When it is al dente (this is cooked but firm, without being excessively soft) remove it from the heat and drain it.

Trick: You can substitute the tricolor throttle pasta for the one you have at home.

While in a saucepan we put the eggs covered with water and take them to the fire. When they start to boil we count five minutes. After the time we remove from the heat, drain the hot water being careful not to burn ourselves and put them in cold water. We wait ten minutes and peel them. We cut the lettuce, put it in the centrifuge, and wash it well under the tap, centrifuge to remove excess water and reserve. Separately, in a large bowl, put the drained corn and the pickled onions. Also, wash the apple, cut it into small pieces, leaving the skin on, and add it to the bowl. Cut the Gouda cheese and the braised chicken breast into small squares and add them to the bowl. We also chop the hard- boiled eggs and put them in the bowl. Finally, add the lettuce and pasta, both well drained.

Tip: You can change this pasta salad with braised chicken breast for turkey breast if you prefer.

Add the Caesar sauce, mix the tricolor pasta salad with chicken well, and enjoy! Bon Appetite!

Trick: Better to put a little sauce and then have to add a lot and it seems that we are bathing the pasta and chicken salad in sauce.
