Ingredients to make tortilla soup with guajillo chili:

  1. 5 clean guajillo chilies
  2. 4 tomatoes
  3. 1 clove garlic
  4. 1 piece of onion
  5. 1 clove
  6. 1 pinch of oregano
  7. 1 tablespoon of oil
  8. 1 liter of chicken broth
  9. 10 pieces of corn tortilla
  10. 1 pinch of salt and pepper to taste
  11. To accompany
  12. 1 avocado
  13. 1 handful of fresh cheese in cubes
  14. 1 pinch of fried guajillo chili
  15. 1 lemon

How to make Tortilla Soup with Guajillo Chile:

  • To start the tortilla soup with guajillo chili recipe, in a pan, toast the chilies on both sides for a few seconds. Then, soften them in hot water for 10 minutes. The chilies must be clean without seeds or veins.
  • Tip: reserve the water from the chilies for the next step.
  • Blend the chilies with the tomatoes, the piece of onion, a clove of garlic, a clove, a pinch of oregano and a little of the water from the chilies.
