Tomato salads are essential on the table in summer as it is one of the dishes that we most want to prepare (because it requires little time, little effort and less heat in the kitchen) and to eat because they are fresh, admit many ingredients and they suit us well at the same time that they help us to take care of that line that the beach or pool bar insists on neglecting.

This time I share a salad of tomato, tuna and fresh cheese that I often prepare at home, and once on the table it is seen and not seen, do you dare? Dessert is served at Coca’s sweet secrets.

Ingredients to make tomato, tuna and fresh cheese salad:

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • 1 can of tuna or mackerel in oil
  • 60 grams of pitted green olives
  • 250 grams of Burgos cheese
  • 60 grams of sliced pickles in vinegar
  • 8 whole meal breadsticks
  • 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch of dried basil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 handful of sultanas

The first step to prepare this delicious tomato, tuna and fresh cheese salad is to wash the tomatoes and dry them. Then we cut them into cubes, leaving the skin on them and put them in a salad bowl.

Next, we drain the sweet corn and the mackerel or tuna in oil (depending on what we have chosen) well and add them to the salad bowl along with the olives and the pickle slices.

Tip: I use sweet and spicy pickle slices, but if you don’t have any you can use normal pickles and cut them into pieces.

Finally, we cut the Burgos cheese into little cubes and add it together with the whole meal breadsticks divided into two or three pieces and the raisins to the tomato and tuna salad.

Tip: If instead of making a tomato and Burgos cheese salad you want to use another type of fresh cheese, no problem.

Season with oil, salt and dried basil, stir carefully so as not to destroy the cheese, and enjoy this fresh tomato, tuna and fresh cheese salad!
