Tomato and Basil Cream Recipe

Ingredients to make Tomato Basil Cream:

  1. Recipe for 5 people:
  2. 5 units of red tomatoes.
  3. 2 units of white onion.
  4. 1 liter of chicken or vegetable broth.
  5. 200 ml of whole or skim milk.
  6. 20 ml of white wine.
  7. 1 bunch of fresh basil.
  8. garlic paste
  9. 1 tablespoon of mustard.
  10. 120 ml of milk cream.

How to make Tomato Basil Cream:

  • To start making our tomato and basil cream recipe, our first step is to pre-list all the ingredients for its preparation.
  • Take a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil, once you see that the oil is hot, add the onions in hulls, garlic paste to taste, salt and black pepper. Leave to fry until the onions take on a transparent color approximately for about 10 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes cut into hulls and fry these ingredients. We must bear in mind that this will be the base of our tomato cream as it contains all the flavor. Remove from the heat and reserve.
  • Take the ingredients to a bowl and add the chicken or vegetable broth (you can use whatever you want to flavor our tomato cream) process until all the ingredients are integrated.
  • Return the mixture of our tomato cream and add the whole milk, the milk cream, the fresh basil and the white wine. As an additional touch add a pinch of sugar to our tomato cream since the tomatoes acidify the preparation this will give a very rich sweet touch. Leave to keep over low heat for about 10 minutes.
