Three Chocolate Cake Recipe

The three chocolate cake is a delight for chocolate lovers because it combines the three main types: dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. Although the process is somewhat long because you have to cook each of the layers separately, as a whole it is a very simple cake, since it does not require an oven or excessive experience in making sweets. Of course, we recommend doing it from one day to the next.

The texture of this cake is very creamy and the taste is not cloying, since sugar is not among the ingredients of the three chocolate cake. We omit this ingredient because both white chocolate and milk chocolate already provide just the right sweet taste necessary to achieve a balanced cake. Without further ado, below, in this article, we show you how to make easy, no-bake, and delicious three-chocolate cake.

Ingredients to make Trehe Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 package of biscuits (200 g)
  • 80 grams of butter
  • 600 milliliters of whipping cream (milk cream)
  • 600 milliliters of milk + 2 tablespoons
  • 150 grams of dark chocolate
  • 150 grams of milk chocolate
  • 150 grams of white chocolate
  • 3 envelopes of curd or agar-agar

How to make Three Chocolate Cake:

  1. Crush the cookies to start preparing the three chocolate cake. You can use any sweet cookie you like, like the Maria type.
  2. Tip: If you don’t have a food processor, put the cookies in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  3. Mix the crushed cookies with the melted butterand two tablespoons of milk. The result should be a homogeneous mix that compacts when pressed.
  4. Cover the base of a22-24 cm mold with the biscuit and butter mixture and place it in the fridge to finish compacting. Then, prepare the layers of the three chocolates.
  5. The first layer of the three chocolate cake will be the dark chocolate layer. To make it, put 200 ml of cream and 100 ml of milk in a saucepan.
  6.  Add the chopped dark chocolate and heat over medium-low heat so that it melts. Apart, dissolve an envelope of curd in a glass with 100 ml of milk.
  7. When the chocolate has melted, add the glass of milk with the curd envelope.
  8. Stir well until it starts to boil, leave the cream on the heat for 2-3 minutes and turn it off.
  9. Put the first layer of chocolate on the layer of cookies and place the mold in the fridge so that it sets and you can continue preparing the three chocolate cake.
  10. Tip: To speed up the process, reserve the cake in the freezer.
  11. When the first layer is almost curdled (it shouldn’t be completely curdled), repeat the same operation with the milk chocolate.
  12. Thus, once the cream is made, pour it over the layer of dark chocolate and reserve the cake in the fridge or freezer.
  13. While the second layer is curdling, prepare the white chocolate layer by doing exactly the same thing.
  14. Place this last layer in the mold and reserve the homemade three chocolate cake in the fridge so that all the layers finish curdling. In general, it will take about 2-3 hours, a process that you can speed up by putting it in the freezer.
  15. Clever! You now have your three chocolate cake recipeready to decorate.
