Ingredients to make Thick Textured Soy Burger:

  • 100 grams of textured soy
  • 80 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg (optional)
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablet of concentrated vegetable broth
  • 4 hamburger bun
  • spices to taste
  • 1 pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of Paprika
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg

How to make Thick Textured Soy Burger:

1.The first step in preparing our veggie burgers will be to dissolve the bouillon concentrate in boiling water. When we have it, we place the textured soy in a bowl and hydrate it with this vegetable broth.

Then, we drain the soybeans with a strainer to let all the liquid fall and remove excess moisture.

2.On the other hand, we cut the carrot finely, you can even grate it if you prefer. When you have it, cook it in a pan with a few drops of oil until it is done and soft.

If you want, you can change the carrot for any other vegetable of your choice to make textured soy burgers.

3.Next, we add and mix all the ingredients on the list to a bowl together with the soybeans and until we incorporate and have dough that allows us to assemble our hamburgers.

If you want your textured soy burgers to be vegan, you simply have to remove the egg from this ready. To substitute it, you can mix a little chickpea flour with about 50ml of vegetable broth and add this to the dough. Remember to also check that the breadcrumbs and hamburger buns are vegan.

4.Finally we cook the hamburgers on the grill, in a pan with a few drops of oil. Let them brown on both sides, with the pan at medium heat, in this way we guarantee that their interior will set.

5.Enjoy these delicious thick textured soy burgers served on the plate or with hamburger buns as we have done, adding a little fresh vegetables and cheese.
