Succotash Recipe (American Indian Dish)

Ingredients to make Succotash (American Indian dish):

  • 4 cups of corn kernels
  • 2 cups plain white beans (from a jar)
  • 4 slices of smoked bacon
  • 1 cup of chopped onion
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of liquid cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • and parsley

How to make Succotash (American Indian dish):

1.Fry the bacon cut into strips in the oil until crispy. Reserve in the heat.

2.In the bacon frying fat, sauté the onion and add the corn and 1 cup of milk.

3.Bring to a boil, add the other cup of milk and the beans and cook again.

4.Add the cream and season to taste, boiling for a few minutes. Decorate with bacon and parsley
