  2. 1 unit of onion
  3. 2 garlic cloves
  4. 250 milliliters of fried tomato
  5. 1 bunch of Parsley
  6. 375 milliliters of Fish broth
  7. 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs
  8. 200 grams of peeled prawns
  9. 1 splash of olive oil
  10. 1 pinch of salt
  11. wooden chopsticks

How to make Stuffed Squid in Sauce:

  • To start preparing these stuffed squids, the first thing you should do is clean the squid very well. Discard all the skin and interior, also separate the heads, discard the eyes and the beak and chop finely. Preserves whole bodies.
  • Finely chop half the onion and a clove of garlic. Transfer to a frying pan with oil and sauté until the onion is golden brown, then add the squid heads that we have previously chopped
  • Next, add the breadcrumbs and the finely chopped parsley. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • With the stir-fry ready, the next step is to fill the calamari. Add one or two spoons of filling in each body and close the opening through a wooden toothpick, as seen in the photo.
  • Next, seal the stuffed squid in a pan with a little oil. They should be lightly browned on each side. Booking.
  • Separately, we prepare the sauce. To do this, cut the rest of the onion into slices and take it to the same pan used previously along with the whole garlic clove. Cook over low heat so that everything is done little by little
  • When the onion is done, add the fish broth and the tomato. Let it cook for a few minutes until the sauce reduces slightly. Correct the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.

Tip: You can pass the sauce through a Chinese or blend it if you prefer a uniform texture. Also remember to add a little sugar if you need to reduce the acidity of the tomato

  • Finally, add the stuffed squid to the sauce and cook over low heat until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. After the first few minutes you can remove the toothpicks from the squid.

Trick: You can add other seafood to the sauce such as prawns or mussels

  • Serve the stuffed squid in sauce and accompany it with some white rice or a green salad. This delicious calamari dish has a powerful flavor and you can serve it for both lunch and dinner.
