Stuffed Hake Rolls Recipe

Ingredients to make Stuffed Hake Rolls:

  • 120 grams of Hake
  • 25 grams of smoked bacon
  • ¼ purple onion
  • ¼ bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 15 grams of Butter
  • 1 lemon
  • 25 milliliters of Vinegar
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper
  • 1 splash of lemon juice
  • 1 splash of vinegar

How to make Stuffed Hake Rolls:

  1. Gather all the ingredients to prepare our recipe for stuffed hake fillets. If you don’t want to use hake, you can use any other white fish that has similar characteristics.
  2. To make the filling we start by cutting the pepper and onion in julienne strips. We preserve them in vinegar and lemon juice, season to taste.
  3. While the pepper and onion are marinating, season the hake with salt and pepper on both sides, taking into account the saltiness of the marinade and the smoked bacon.
  4. To make the hake rolls, spread out the fillets, put the marinade in the center and begin to roll.
  5. At the end, we cover the roll with the bacon and fix it with a wooden toothpick so that everything is well adjusted and does not open during cooking.
  6. To cook the hake, we felt a little butter in a pan, fry previously minced garlic, and then place the stuffed fish roll.
  7. Let brown, lower the heat and cover with aluminum foil until fully cooked.
  8. Serve the stuffed hake rolls with a few lemon wedges.
