Strawberry liqueur

Ingredients to make Strawberry Liqueur:

  • 1 kilogram of strawberry trees
  • 1 liter of pomace brandy
  • ½ kilogram of sugar
  • ¼ liter of water

How to make Strawberry Liqueur:

  1. In order to prepare this homemade liqueur, the first thing we must do is wash and drain the strawberry trees well. Then, we dry them with a clean kitchen towel or paper, whichever we have closest to hand.
  2. We take a saucepan, add the water, put it on the fire and dissolve the sugar. Let it cook for five minutes, or the necessary time, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the preparation cool.
  3. We take a previously sterilized jar, place the strawberry trees inside and reserve it for a moment. Separately, we mix the pomace with the previous syrup (already cold) and pour the mixture over the strawberry trees that are in the jar.
  4. We tightly cover the jar and store it in a dark and dry place for at least 6 months to make a good liqueur with the strawberry trees (it is better after a year). We filter and pour it into bottles.
