Strained Bean Recipe

Have you ever wondered how the strained bean is born? Well, this is a traditional Peruvian dessert, however, sources say that it is created through the inspiration of white manjar from Europe. In addition, it should be noted that within Peru this dessert has its origin within the Afro-Peruvian communities in the community of Chincha (North of Ica). Formerly it was known as bean candy.

  • 500 grams of black beans
  • 500 grams of brown sugar
  • 500 milliliters of evaporated milk
  • 10 grams of white sesame seeds

How to make Strained Beans:

  1. To start with the bean recipe, you must soak the beans for 24 hours and change the water 2 times. Boil until the beans are soft.
  2. Blend the beansforming a puree and add a splash of water.
