Ingredients to make stewed broad beans:
- For 1 person:
- 200 grams of tender beans
- 1 large onion
- 100 grams ham or bacon
- 1 pinch of flour
- lard
- Salt
- Pepper
- White wine.
How to make stewed broad beans:
1.Melt a tablespoon of lard in a large skillet.
2.Add the ham or bacon cut into small cubes, stir and as soon as it begins to color add the finely chopped onion.
3.Lower the heat and let the onion poach for a long time, until it is transparent, at which points we will add the clean beans and let them begin to take on color in the pan.
4.Then add a small teaspoon of flour, stir and moisten abundantly with a dry white wine.
5.Let everything cook over low heat, stirring from time to time, until the beans are tender, a nice brown color and lovingly encased in a thick sauce.
6.Season with salt and serve very hot.
