Ingredients to make Chinese steamed rice:
- 1 1/2 cup rice
- 4 1/2 cups boiling water
- Salt
- Pepper
How to make Chinese Steamed Rice:
- Put the rice in a colander, wash it under a stream of cold water, rubbing the grains with your fingers.
- Wash well until the water runs clear.
- Drain. Pour the rice into a saucepan and add the water.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain.
- Place the rice on a damp napkin in a bamboo basket or in a pasta strainer and steam over a 30′ saucepan.
- Season with soy sauce.
