Steamed Chinese Rice Recipe

Ingredients to make Chinese steamed rice:

  • 1 1/2 cup rice
  • 4 1/2 cups boiling water
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make Chinese Steamed Rice:

  1. Put the rice in a colander, wash it under a stream of cold water, rubbing the grains with your fingers.
  2. Wash well until the water runs clear.
  3. Drain. Pour the rice into a saucepan and add the water.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Drain.
  6. Place the rice on a damp napkin in a bamboo basket or in a pasta strainer and steam over a 30′ saucepan.
  7. Season with soy sauce.
