  • 50 grams of marinated minced meat
  • Grated cheese
  • ½ loaf of bread
  • 1 tablespoon of Mayonnaise

How to make Steak Cheese Sandwich:

To make this meat sandwich we have decided to use marinated Moorish skewers. Then,  cook the meat on the grill until it is done and reserve.

You can also use a beef steak and marinate it with the same mixture of spices that the Moorish skewers have, cumin, pepper, ginger, sweet paprika, turmeric, saffron, garlic, coriander, onion, parsley, lemon juice, salt and oil. These pinchos are marinated minced pork meat, very popular in Spain and that you can buy directly at the supermarket. If you have a whole piece of cheese, take advantage while the meat is done and grate enough cheese to make your pepito de carne. You can also use sliced cheese. The classic way of presenting this version of meat sandwich is with frayed meat, so when the skewers, already ready, have cooled down a bit, chop them finely or shred them as seen in the photo. To assemble our Moorish pinchos sandwich, open the loaf of bread in half and toast it lightly. When the bread is hot, spread one of the parts with mayonnaise.

If you want to make the sauce yourself, you can guide yourself with the homemade mayonnaise recipe or try the avocado mayonnaise, which should also be great. Next, place a good layer of meat, the idea is that the skewer sandwich is full of meat, so add as much as you can.

Tip: If the meat has cooled too much you can touch it in the pan to heat it up and thus make the cheese, which we will add later, melt.

Lastly, add the grated cheese and place the lid with the other part of the baguette bread. If you want you can include more ingredients, such as something to do with lettuce leaves or avocado, tomato or roasted peppers. Our meat and cheese sandwich can be prepared for lunch or dinner. This easy and quick recipe can be used to take advantage of meat that you have left over from other preparations or simply to enjoy the flavor of some good Moorish skewers in an original and different way. Bon Appetite!
