At home we take them almost daily, whether it’s summer or winter. The lettuce and apple salad this time is very simple and takes just a few minutes to prepare. It is ideal for a light dinner (and a tone for the excesses of a copious meal) and also as an accompaniment to a fish dish or a sandwich. I share the recipe so that everyone can prepare this incredible shrimp salad with lettuce and apple at home and complete your dinners or meals.
Ingredients to make Squirmy Salad with Lettuce and Apple:
- 1 lettuce
- 10 shrimp sticks
- 1 green apple
- 1 handful of sultanas
- 8 Whole Wheat Breadsticks
- 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 splash of Vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of spices for salad
- 1 small can of pineapple in its juice
How to make Squirmy Salad with Lettuce and Apple:
We start the shrimp salad by cutting the lettuce. Then, we wash it, centrifuge and reserve. If we don’t have a centrifuge for lettuce, we leave it in the colander to release as much water as possible. Wash the apple, dry it and cut it into cubes. We put it in a salad bowl. Apart, we chop the shrimp sticks and add them to the bowl. If the shrimp is frozen, we must remember to take it out of the freezer in advance. If you forget, you can submerge it in water at room temperature and change it a couple of times; they will take five or ten minutes to thaw.
Add the lettuce to the bowl. Chop the pineapple slices and add them to the salad bowl. In addition, we cut the breadcrumbs into two or three pieces and add them to the lettuce, apple and shrimp salad together with the raisins.
Tip: You can save the pineapple juice to prepare a dessert or drink it as if it were a juice, it is very diuretic!
Dress with oil, vinegar and salt to taste and with a pinch of spices for salad. Stir well to mix the ingredients, distribute the dressing and serve.
