Spinach Dip Recipe

If you are a fan of spreadable creams and pâtés, you are going to love this spinach dip with hemp and sunflower seeds. The seeds provide creaminess and body to the vegan dip, in addition to all its properties and benefits for our health. They are an important source of vegetable protein, unsaturated fats and fiber. They are beneficial for the digestive tract, to regulate blood sugar, they are antioxidants and anti-inflammatory. You can serve this spinach dip recipe that I share with toast, breadsticks or vegetable crudités, to your liking!

Ingredients to make Spinach Dip:

  • 1½ cups spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • ¼ onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sweet mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

How to make Spinach Dip:

Cook the spinach in boiling salted water for 7-8 minutes. Drain them and reserve them to know how to make spinach dip. Heat a frying pan with oil and fry the finely chopped onion and garlic. When they brown add the spinach, stir well and add the cornstarch. Cook the spinach stirring for 2 more minutes.

Place the spinach in the blender, add the sunflower seeds and hemp seeds, mustard, salt and pepper. Crush the spinach and the seeds until there is a homogeneous mixture, with the characteristic texture and consistency of a spreadable cream. Serve chilled spinach dip with breadsticks, toast, raw vegetable sticks, etc. You can even use it to spice up a vegan burger.
