Ingredients to make Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Quiche:
- 200 grams of fresh spinach
- 100 grams of diced bacon
- 150 milliliters of skimmed milk
- 6 low fat cheeses
- 2 tablespoons low-fat whipped fresh cheese
- 1 sheet of short crust pastry
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- Garlic
- 1 pinch of Nutmeg
- 2 Eggs
How to make Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Quiche:
Preheat the oven to the maximum before starting the spinach and bacon quiche recipe. Then, extend the sheet of phyla dough in the source where the quiche is going to be prepared. Once spread, prick the short crust pastry with a fork to prevent it from swelling in the oven, cover with parchment paper, place chickpeas, broad beans or any legume on top to add weight.
Put the broken dough with the weight in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, covering it with aluminum foil to prevent it from burning. Meanwhile, in a frying pan without oil, fry the bacon cubes a little until golden brown and remove. In the same pan, add a little oil and cook the spinach with a little garlic powder for about 4 minutes.
In a bowl, to continue with the filling of the spinach and bacon quiche, mix the milk with the 6 cheeses. Heat the mixture for 4 minutes in the microwave, then stir well. Beat the 2 eggs and add them to the milk and cheese, along with the spinach and bacon, as well as two tablespoons of the fresh beaten cheese. Made a little salt, pepper and nutmeg.
After 15 minutes, remove the short crust pastry from the oven, remove the paper with the broad beans/chickpeas and pour the previous filling to finish preparing the spinach quiche with bacon. Leave the spinach quiche for 30 minutes in the oven at 180ºC. After the first 15 minutes, when the dough looks golden, cover the bacon cake with aluminum foil to prevent it from burning. Remove the spinach, bacon and cheese quiche and allow it to cool slightly before eating.
