  • 100 grams of spinach
  • 4 peeled prawns
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg unit
  • 200 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • 2 potatoes
  • 10 grams of butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Spinach and Prawn Croquettes:

  1. The first step is to get all the ingredients ready if you want to make this recipe for shrimp and spinach croquettes.
  2. In a frying pan with oil, cook over low heat the onion cut into small cubes and the finely chopped garlic, and cook until soft.
  3. Add the prawns cut into thick slices, season with salt and pepper and cook until they change color. Once they are ready, remove and reserve
  4. Add the butter in the same pan and cook the spinach leaves until they reduce in size, season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, mix the fried onion, garlic and prawns, the sautéed spinach and the mashed potatoes previously cooked in water, mix everything very well with half the beaten egg, and adjust the flavor with salt and pepper.
  6. Then, form cylinders with the dough of the spinach and prawn balls and bread them by passing them through the flour, the beaten egg and the breadcrumbs in this order.
  7. Once the prawn and spinach croquettes are ready, take them to refrigerate so that they are firmer when frying.
  8. Fry the croquettes in oil over medium heat until golden brown, remove and place on a plate lined with absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
