Ingredients to make Quinoa Spicy:

  • 250 grams of white quinoa
  • 3 tablespoons of panda chili paste
  • 2 dessert spoons of ground garlic
  • 1 red onion
  • ½ carrot
  • 1 handful of peas
  • 2 yellow potatoes
  • 100 grams of fresh cheese
  • 1 splash of vegetable oil
  • 1 sprig of parsley
  • 1 handful of beans
  • salt, pepper and cumin

How to make Spicy Quinoa:

  1. To start with the easy spicy quinoa recipe, you must first soak the quinoa for a couple of hours and then wash it until a kind of foam stops coming out.
  2. Trick: this step will make you eliminate the siphoning that the quinoa contains, this is a toxin with a bitter taste.
  3. The key to this dish is to make a good dressing. For this reason, heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the red onion previously chopped into small squares for 2 minutes. Then add the minced garlic and fry for 2 more minutes.
  4. Add all the jay panda paste and cook for 4 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. And, if you see that the dressing dries up, you can pour water or chicken or beef broth little by little.
  5. Add the previously washed quinoa and also add water (or in the best case, add chicken or beef broth). In addition, also add the diced carrot, the peeled broad beans and the peas. Next, add a pinch of salt, pepper and cumin, cook for about 15 minutes.
  6. Trick: the amount of water or broth should be enough to cover the quinoa. And, if you see that the preparation dries up, you can add more liquid little by little.
  7. Add the yellow potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes. Let cook for about 8 more minutes.
  8. Once the quinoa spiciness has taken on a creamy texture, but not too thick, you’re close to done. It will only be necessary to rectify the salt and add the finely chopped parsley.
  9. This delicious spicy meat can be served with the inevitable loose white rice. To decorate, place pieces of fresh cheese on the quinoa and that’s it. Bon Appetite! What do you think of this quinoa recipe?

Peruvian quinoa stew

The quinoa stew is practically the brother of the spicy one. Perhaps one of the differences is that while the first usually has some protein, such as chicken or meat, the second has more vegetables. In addition, the quinoa stew is based on the yellow pepper and usually has a creamier touch, since it includes a good splash of milk.
In any case, quinoa is an excellent option to include in different dishes within our daily menu. In fact, this product is considered a super food, having as main virtues that it is a food high in fiber; it is a good source of phosphorus, iron and zinc. It also provides important vitamins and has remarkable protein content, unlike other grains. We point out that the quinoa stew with chicken or the quinoa stew with cheese is delicious.
