Spiced Nuts Recipe

Nuts are an excellent source of energy, vitamins and fiber. Its healthy fats help lower our cholesterol levels. This recipe for spiced nuts is a very exotic version for our Christmas appetizers.

Ingredients to make Spiced Nuts:

  • 250 grams of mixed nuts
  • 50 grams of peeled pumpkin seeds
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • ½ dessert spoon of Cinnamon
  • ½ dessert spoon of nutmeg
  • ½ dessert spoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 unit of egg white
  • 1 pinch of ginger
  • 25 grams of Butter

How to make Spiced Nuts:

  1. To prepare these spicy nuts we must gather all the ingredients.
  2. Place the dried fruit and peeled pumpkin seeds on a baking tray.
  3. Heat the butter and mix it with the brown sugar and honey. Add the rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon and a pinch of grated ginger.
  4. Beat the egg white until foamy, add it to the nuts and mix.
  5. Pour the mixture over the nuts and mix.
  6. Put the spiced nuts in the oven at 180º C for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
