Ingredients to make Spaghetti Bolognese:

  1. ½ kilogram of Spaghetti
  2. ½ kilogram of ground beef
  3. 1 can of peeled tomatoes
  4. ¼ cup of red wine
  5. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  6. 2 garlic cloves
  7. 1 unit of red tomato
  8. 1 unit of green pepper
  9. 1 unit of small onion
  10. 1 tablespoon Herbs de Provence
  11. 100 grams of mozzarella cheese
  12. 6 fresh basil leaves
  13. 1 wedge of Parmesan cheese
  14. 1 pinch of salt
  15. 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Spaghetti Bolognese:

  • The first step in making this spaghetti Bolognese is to fry the ground meat with a little salt and pepper until golden brown.
  • Once the meat is browned, add the finely chopped garlic, peppers and onion, and the herbs. Provencal herbs are a mixture of dried herbs that are used to flavor certain dishes; usually the preparation contains thyme, oregano and basil, among others. Cook everything over high heat for 5 minutes and then add the wine and let all the alcohol evaporate.
  • Next, add the peeled canned tomatoes and the fresh tomatoes cut into large pieces. To continue preparing the easy spaghetti Bolognese, lower the heat and cook everything for 15 minutes. In the last boil, add the fresh basil leaves.
  • While the Bolognese sauce is being made, cook the pasta in boiling salted water for approximately 10 minutes, depending on the texture we want in the homemade spaghetti.
  • When the spaghetti is ready, strain it and serve it on a suitable platter or plate. Then incorporate the Bolognese sauce over the spaghetti and if you want to mix it all together or simply sprinkle on top the grated mozzarella and parmesan cheeses to decorate. And you already have your spaghetti Bolognese ready!
