Soup Galets Recipe with Ball

Ingredients to make Soup of galets with ball:

  • Here we have the ingredients for the galets with ball soup. The galets are a shell-shaped pasta; in the market you will find them in various sizes, the larger they are, the easier it will be to fill them. The broth can be chicken or meat and the meat is mixed. Herbs are also added to make the ball, I have opted for oregano but you can also put parsley and, if you like, a clove of minced garlic.

  • Now comes the most laborious part of this Catalan Christmas recipe. It is about filling the raw galets. The easiest thing is to do it by hand, without complicating our lives with piping bags or other utensils. You have to press the meat well into the pasta, to prevent it from coming out during cooking.
  • Then we will boil the galets in the broth, following the instructions of the pasta brand. Keep in mind that the meat also has to be cooked, so it is normally a rather long cooking time for pasta; in my case, it was 17 minutes.
