Sobrassada toast with honey recipe

With this easy recipe you will learn how to prepare a gourmet appetizer with which you will surprise everyone. I discovered it in a restaurant in Barcelona and since then I have prepared it whenever I can. The sobrassada toast with honey and brie cheese, in addition to being elegant, has a unique mix of salty and sweet flavors, dare to try it!

Ingredients to make Tostadas de sobrasada with honey:

  • 1 package of Toast
  • 100 grams of Sobrassada
  • ½ wedge of Brie cheese
  • 1 small glass of honey

How to make sobrassada toast with honey:

  1. The first step to make this delicious appetizer with sobrasada will be to prepare the ingredients. I have used thin whole-grain toast as in other recipes, but you can use the base of your choice.
  2. Spread the toast with sobrasada, try to cover the entire surface and be careful when spreading because the sobrasada is quite dense and you can break the toast.
  3. Now it is the turn of the cheese. Cut small pieces of brie cheese, about 1 centimeter thick. And to make it easier I will give you a trick: use a piece of dental floss to cut the cheese, you will make a clean and fast cut. Guide yourself with the photo.
  4. Spread the cheese evenly over the sobrassada toast. Place one or two pieces depending on the size of each piece.
  5. For the next step I have used a burner, but if you don’t have one don’t worry, in that case you will have to put the toast in the oven for a few minutes, the idea is that the brie cheese melts slightly. If you have the quemdaor, pass the flame over each piece of cheese until it begins to brown and the sobrassada softens a bit.
  6. To finish, we will place a line of honey on each toast, try to cover the piece of cheese and drip a little around it.
  7. Now all you have to do is enjoy this delicacy. The sobrassada toast with honey and brie cheese is an excellent appetizer to serve at any type of meeting along with some non-alcoholic mojitos or even for dinner one day when you want to pamper yourself as I did.
