Smoked trout recipe

Smoking is a cooking technique that, when handled correctly, allows us to obtain rustic and incomparable flavors that cannot be achieved by other means of cooking. This technique can be performed on all types of meat (some require additional cooking; however, they do not lose their acquired flavor). It is advisable to smoke in the open air since, as its name indicates, it is based on smoke, and it can become somewhat annoying when it is done.

Ingredients to make Smoked Trout:

  • 300 grams of Trout
  • 100 grams of Rice
  • 30 grams of cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 200 grams of sliced ​​bread
  • 100 grams of camembert cheese

How to make Smoked Trout:

  1. The first step for this recipe is to get all the ingredients ready. Bone the trout and season.
  2. In the bottom of the roaster or tray with walls, place the rice, cinnamon and bay leaf.
  3. On a rack place the trout, previously seasoned, on the roaster.
  4. Bring to the stove covered hermetically with aluminum foil and cook for 7 minutes. Then remove the tray from the heat and reserve.
  5. Separately, prepare the sliced ​​bread. To do this, toast it, cut each slice in half and place a slice of camembert cheese on top of each piece.
  6. Arrange the undone trout on top and serve. On this occasion we have used smoked trout to make a delicious canapé with toasted bread, but you can also use it to make salads or any dish of your choice.
