Simple pumpkin cream recipe

Ingredients to make simple pumpkin cream:

  • 1 kilo of pumpkin
  • 8 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of chopped onion
  • ½ cup garlic leek, white part
  • 4 cups of meat consommé
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • White pepper
  • salt to taste

How to make simple pumpkin cream:

  1. Cook the peeled and chopped pumpkin in a pot with 8 cups of water and salt until softened, drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a saucepan, add the onion and the garlic leek, fry until wilted.
  3. Add the broth, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 3 minutes. Remove and let rest.
  4. Blend all the ingredients, place them in the pot again, bring to a boil and cook for 3 more minutes, correct the seasoning.
  5. Turn off the heat, mix the pumpkin soup with the cream and serve immediately. If you like you can add pieces of toasted bread in butter or crispy bacon.
