Simple Churro Beans Recipe

Churro beans are a typical dish of Mexican cuisine and are made with beans, onion, bacon and chili. This time we present an easier and simpler recipe than usual in this slightly complicated dish.

Ingredients to make simple Churro Beans:

  • 500 grams of Peruvian beans
  • 400 grams of turkey sausage cut into slices
  • 250 grams of Bacon cut into pieces
  • 1 unit of Onion finely chopped
  • 4 units of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of coriander finely chopped
  • 5 units of finely chopped jalapeño peppers
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to make Simple Churro Beans:

1.To start this recipe for easy churro beans, once the beans are clean and washed, cook them in a large pot with enough water, adding the salt. Cooking lasts about an hour.

Trick: You will have the churro beans over low heat until they soften.

2.In a pan, fry the bacon, onion and chili. In this same pan, brown the sausage. The tomato and coriander are left raw; these are quickly cooked with the beans at the end.

3.When the beans are ready, they should be very soft to the touch. When this happens, add all the ingredients without exception and mix slowly.

4.Leave on low heat for 10 minutes. The churro bean in Mexico is used to accompany grilled meats and tamales. Normally it is not spicy but in this case, as we have done with green Chile, it will sting a little.
