  • 2 eggs
  • 60 milliliters of milk (¼ cup)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 glass of olive oil

How to make Silly Eggs:

  1. To start with the silly eggs recipe you must first prepare the bread.
  2.  To do this, cut it into very fine and tiny pieces. You can also pass it through a grinder and leave it finely chopped.
  3.  We point out that you can use any bread that does not have a very hard crust, so you can use the crumb part and the crust part.
  4. Tip: you can also make silly eggs with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the bread in a bowl and add a splash of milk, mix well so that the bread absorbs the milk and thus forms puree dough.
  6. Add an egg, mix again and flatten with a fork. If you notice that it is very dry you should add the other egg.
  7. Mix everything well again. You can also beat the eggs a little on a plate and gradually add them to the chopped bread. It should be slightly compact and juicy dough.
  8. Add the minced garlic and a little chopped parsley and salt. Mix everything so that it is well integrated, let stand 10 minutes.
  9. Prepare a frying pan with plenty of oil over medium high heat and with a spoon take portions.
  10. When the oil is hot, add the silly eggs or fritters in portions to the pan.
  11.  Fry them on all sides so that they cook well inside, but be careful not to burn them.
  12. Place a plate with a sheet of kitchen paper and add the silly eggs so that they release the excess oil.
  13. Once you have them all done, place them in a bowl and serve.
  14. They are very good hot, but they are also good cold.
