Ingredients to make Shrimp in rice:
- 1 pound of precooked shrimp
- 1 pound of white rice
- 1 can of coconut milk
- 1 unit of small chopped onion
- 1 unit of small green pepper chopped
- 1 bunch of Cilantro
- 1 pinch of Salt, Pepper and Achiote
- 1 cup of Water (240 milliliters)
- 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of Butter for cooking
How to make Shrimp in Rice:
- In a frying pan we put the oil to heat. Meanwhile, we wash the rice a little to remove part of the starch and drain it in a strainer. Then we add it to the pan with oil and fry until it is very loose. We booked.
- In a medium saucepan add the butter and let it melt a bit, then add the garlic and onion and fry for a few minutes without burning. Add the shrimp to the pot and continue with the sauce. Next we added the green pepper and once all this sautéed we incorporated the water.
