Shrimp Broth Recipe

Ingredients to make Shrimp Broth:

  • 1 kilogram of fresh shrimp
  • ½ kilogram of Potatoes
  • 3 units of Carrots
  • 4 units of Tomatoes
  • 1 slice of onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 unit of Chile copi (to taste)
  • 1 branch of fresh Epazote
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

How to make Shrimp Broth:

  1. The first thing we are going to do before starting with the preparation of the shrimp broth is to prepare all the ingredients. To do this, peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into medium squares. Then, peel the carrots and also chop them into squares. Finally, clean the shrimp and remove the shell if you wish, although you can also use them unpeeled.
  2. This done, take a pot and boil the tomatoes and chili. The amount of chili varies depending on whether you like the broth more or less spicy. When they are well cooked, blend them with the garlic and onion and strain the mixture to remove the lumps.
  3. Now in a saucepan heat the oil and, when it is hot, add the previous smoothie and let it boil for 3 minutes
  4. After the time, add the chopped potatoes and carrots. When they are half cooked, add the shrimp and the sprig of epazote and let them all cook together. When it’s ready, you can serve it and eat it.
