Seafood casserole with rice recipe

Ingredients to make Seafood Casserole with Rice:

  • 400 grams of Rice
  • 1 kilogram of Mixed seafood
  • 1 pound vegetable broth
  • 1 unit of onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 units of tomato
  • ½ unit of red pepper
  • ½ unit of green pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pinch of Saffron
  • 1 pinch of sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 can of Peas

How to make Seafood Casserole with Rice

  1. To start preparing this seafood casserole, the first thing you have to do is prepare the ingredients. To do this, wash and finely chop all the vegetables, the grated tomatoes. Prepared seafood is easily found in the supermarket, otherwise make a mix of prawns, mussels and calamari.
  2. Heat a wide casserole with a jet of oil and make a fry of onion and garlic. When the onion is transparent, add the peppers, peas and bay leaf. Sauté everything until tender.
  3. After a couple of minutes, add the vegetable broth and rice. Remember that you can make the broth with concentrated broth tablets and water or at home following the recipe for vegetable broth.
  4. When about 5-7 minutes have passed, add all the shellfish to the casserole and season with the spices. Let cook for about 10 minutes over medium-low heat.
  5. Before all the broth has been consumed, remove the pot from the heat and leave covered for a couple of minutes. Then you can serve the seafood casserole with rice and enjoy. Decorate with some lemon slices and accompany with a white wine.
