Sardines recipe in the morning

Learn how to prepare a delicious dish of baked sardines with garlic and parsley in the Maño style, just like you would enjoy them in Zaragoza in Spain.

In this recipe we have not placed amounts since everything is a bit to taste and depends on the amount of sardines you want to cook. In any case, remember that the most important thing is the mashed garlic and parsley, so don’t be shy and add enough of these ingredients to make a great sardine dish.

Ingredients to make sardines by hand:

  • fresh sardines
  • salted
  • garlic
  • Parsley
  • sherry vinegar
  • Toilet

How to make sardines by hand:

  1. After cleaning the sardines well, they are placed in the baking dish and sprinkled with plenty of salt. Let the fish rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, crush garlic and finely chopped parsley in a mortar with a splash of sherry vinegar and water. The idea is to prepare a matador that we will put on the sardines to impregnate them with flavor.
  3. After the minutes of rest, the fish is removed from the salt and the sardines are put in the oven preheated to about 190º C. and everything is bathed with the mixture that we have in the mortar.
  4. After the first 30 minutes, turn the sardines over and cover them again with mashed garlic and parsley. Continue cooking for 10 more minutes.
  5. You can serve these sardines in the morning with a few slices of lemon to decorate.
