Ingredients to make Salmon and Pineapple Skewers:
- 200 grams of Salmon without skin
- 200 grams of pineapple
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 80 milliliters of white vinegar
- 50 grams of white onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pinch of ground chili pepper
- 1 splash of sunflower oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
How to make Salmon and Pineapple Skewers:
Before making the fish skewers, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready. In a pot with oil, fry the onion and garlic, all finely chopped until golden brown. It is time to add the finely chopped pineapple and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Try to use natural pineapple, although if you don’t have the recipe it will also taste very good using canned pineapple.
Then add half a glass of water, the vinegar, the brown sugar and the chili pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for a further 20 minutes. It is time to blend the pineapple sauce until obtaining a homogeneous consistency and add it back to the pot, rectify flavor with salt and pepper, cook 5 minutes to finish. Separately, cut the salmon into cubes of the same size. Season and cook for 5 minutes in a pan over high heat with a little oil.
Assemble the skewers and accompany with the sauce as seen in the photo. These skewers of salmon with pineapple are a show so I recommend accompanying them with a simple side dish such as fried Creole potatoes or a little basmati rice.
